Judge Throws Out Oracle's $1.3 Bil Award Vs. SAP

A federal judge on Thursday overturned the $1.3 billion copyright verdict Oracle (ORCL) won in November against SAP (SAP), saying it was "grossly excessive." The maximum damages that were actually proved total $272 million, said U.S. District Judge Phyllis Hamilton in Oakland, Calif.
