Netflix EPS Up 55% On Customer Gains

Movie subscription service Netflix impressed investors late Wednesday by reporting better-than-expected profit growth and by guiding Wall Street estimates higher for the current quarter. Netflix (NFLX) earned 87 cents a share, up 55% from a year ago. Revenue rose 34% to $596 million for the quarter ended Dec. 31.
