Cheaper Apple iPhone Seen Hitting Markets In Weeks
Apple (AAPL) is making a cheaper, 8-gigabyte version of its popular iPhone 4, and it's expected to be launched within weeks, reported Reuters, which said Asian suppliers are manufacturing what some are calling the iPhone 4S. The tech giant developed the phone to slow the rapid growth of phones based on Google's (GOOG) Android software, according to published reports in February.
